Posting to Your WordPress Website using email.

For some time now, I have been wondering how this “auto-posting from email” works in WordPress, so I did some researching on-line (the way I learn almost everything).
I read where using the built in email posting system has a few drawbacks and that using a plugin called “Postie” was a better choice.
Since I did not set up the WordPress system, I can-not tell you which is better, I can only say that “Postie” works really nice.
You do have to jump thru a few hoops to set it up, but, by now I am used to that.
My original test did not go thru until I added the creating email account to the users in the set-up section.
My 1st 2 post did come thru ok after adding the email but I had not included any images.
This time I will attach 2 to see what happens.

This is an update after posting the above message using email.
As you can see, the images came thru in good shape. It took over 20 minutes for Google to get around to sending the post, but in case you didn’t know, Google is notorious for taking it’s time sending emails.
This post was set up in my pre-selected default category, my next step is to see how posting to desired categories works.
I will have to experiment to see if the placement of the images can be controlled.
The one drawback I see so far is that the emails are posted to the WordPress editor and I apparently cannot have them post to the Themify builder editor…oh well..
